About this tutor

I believe I am a good tutor because I have self-taught easy methods for solving problems which I feel I can only pass across myself. Also, I have a great love for education so much that I feel the need to pass that love across to people, so they can take their studies seriously. Education is really an important part of our society, everybody needs to learn to grow, rejecting education to me is like rejecting growth. I want my students to be able to understand this and also cherish whatever topic or subject I am to teach them

I enjoy being able to help kids and adults build them selves, and become better in their studies. I also love encouraging people to learn because it helps you become a better person and feel more confident in your self from your achievements.

FAQs

How did you get started teaching?

In preschool and primary school (elementary school equivalent), I believed my only talent was singing, dancing and drawing because there had never been a solid reason for me to think beyond that. Then I advanced to Senior Secondary school, in my school seniors and teachers were allowed to volunteer to tutor students in a room in the library called the Louisville Learning Resource center. I had signed up mainly because it might get me some awards and scholarships, but the first day I went to teach one of the students had told me that I am a good tutor, and I felt really good. In the actual sense that had not the first time I taught someone else a topic or a concept, different people had met me before to explain a question in math or a concept in Physics, and most of the time, I had been able to teach them well enough for them to understand. So, I took it up. I started teaching a few students at home during the summer for 100 Naira per hour (about 50 cents per hour). I enjoyed it. Some of my students would come back to me and tell me that my tutoring helped them pass a subject that they never thought they could, or how I had made Math less intimidating than what they were used to. Not only did my tutoring help others but it made me to study and learn more so I could teach better. In summary, the greatest skill that I have cultivated over the years is teaching.
