John's Math Tutoring
About
I am a 20 year old third-year undergraduate student studying Bioengineering at the University of Maryland looking to make some extra money tutoring high school and college students. For my major I have acquired a strong background in Math and Science, having taken and recieved credit in all of the following general courses in college while maintaining a 3.8 GPA:
College Coursework
Mathematics - Calculus III, Differential Equations
Sciences - Organic and General Chemistry, Biology, Static Physics, Physics II
AP Testing
I have also had plenty of experience in taking AP exams and I am quite familiar with the best approaches to taking them. Listed below are AP exams I have taken along with the scores I received that I would be willing to tutor in:
5 - Calculus I
5 - Calculus II
5 - Statistics
4 - Physics I
4 - Psychology
SAT Testing
I have also had plenty of experience preparing for the SATs and I can 100% tell you that properly practicing taking these exams and understanding how the exam is structured and devised will result in a massive improvement in test scores. I have helped friends prepare for the exam before, assisting them in scoring over 300 points higher and would be willing to sit down and take the time to evaluate SAT questions and answers with students as well.
Introductary Math
Additionally I have been able to succeed in many of these higher level math courses due to a solid foundation in prior level math classes which I believe to be crucial in building a successful understanding of more difficult math. This is why I would be more than willing to tutor students in the following:
Algebra I and II
Geometry
Trigonometry
