About
I am passionate about creating a great Elementary School experience for girls and boys. When students have difficulty in reading and/or math it is often hard for them feel positively about school. My mission is help all boys and girls have a positive school experience by teaching them the math and reading skills they need to feel successful in school.
I enjoy working with elementary school age children. It is very rewarding teaching them the missing skills that changes their school experience for the better.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Typically I first start by talking over the perceived needs with the parent or caregiver. I also like to review recent report cards and concerns from the child's teachers. Next I like to meet with the child and talk to them about what they find difficult with reading or math. During this session I administer various assessments to determine the necessary skills that I will be focusing on during our sessions. After this first session, I meet with the child on a weekly basis and focus each session on the needed skills.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Master's Degree in Education. I have taught a variety of grades over the past 27 years.
