I approach tutoring clients like a puzzle. The first step is to discover the best way that student learns. Some students learn through repetition. Other students are visual or verbal learners. The most effective approach to helping a student improve their performance is first to assess how they learn and how that method can be used to teach the student the material they struggle with. I design tutoring plans specific to the students strengths. As a result, the student not only begins scoring higher on test, they are building confidence in their own ability to learn. That kind of confidence is priceless and will change the future for that student. They will have the confidence to take on any challenge that comes their way.
I have been tutoring with this approach for years and have watched all my students grow and improve academically. The smile they get on their face when they get a concept they once struggled with and the A on the test to follow is the reason I love tutoring and why I continue to do it.

I schedule an initial meeting to get to know the student and allow them to explain to me the issues they are having with any subject. I like to get to know the student on a personal level. My goal is to establish trust from the start so they will feel comfortable with me. Down the road when they are struggling, they will trust me enough to tell me and to allow them to help them.
I have been tutoring students from elementary grade levels to college levels in all math and science subjects since 2012. I graduated University of Maryland, College Park in 2012 with a BS in Biochemistry and a minor in Mathematics.
I charge $45 an hour but that can negotiable.
I started tutoring because I enjoy helping other students learn. Having extra resources when it comes to studying can be a game changer for a student and their success.
I have students off all ages; from elementary grade level to college.
