What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I get to know they're learning style and adapt the subject to their style in order for the student to learn.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have worked with children ranging from birth to 18 years of age in Central Massachusetts for 22 years. From Early Intervention in homes, daycares and preschools to elementary schools, junior high and high school. In recent years, I have also worked in Behavior therapy, residential children's care, and counseling. I graduated from Anna Maria College with a Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, a Master's Degree in Counseling Psychology, andva second Master's degree in Education. I hold a Massachusetts certification in Early Intervention, Elementary Education, and Moderate Disabilities 5-12. My passion is adapting education in a way that enables all children to learn. I am currently employed as a Special Education teacher at Doherty Memorial High-School in Worcester.
How did you get started teaching?
