I bring an ingredient with me to my service that is innate. It is called enthusiam. Words have always been, not only, a vehicle of communication but an inspiration as well. Whether through conversation or written literature the eager interest devoted to my craft has served me well. This zest for the unit of language that is a principal carrier of meaning is presented in such a way that the magic component becomes contagious and, when presented this way, is received with the same eager enjoyment. The discovery of the power of words, whether written or spoken, is my objective when working with students. My hope is that my love of English will be transferred to the learners through both my instruction and enthusiastic approach.

I enjoy seeing the emergence of understanding when comprehension is accomplished through the individual's effort. The more difficult the subject matter the greaater the reward is when this is achieved. I love when students, who previously have said that Shakespeare is impossible to decipher, come to an understanding of the majesty with which he used words to convey his message. Though his format may be somewhat archiac, his subject matter is timeless. When teenagers realize that Romeo and Juliet experienced some of he same teenage angst that they do, they come to an appreciation of the bard's talent. Hopefully this will propell them to go on to another play to find the hidden kernils of truth exposed there.
