About
I work to provide professional and affordable tutoring from elementary age to college students. I enjoy educating and have experience teaching troubled youth in a juvenile delinquency classroom as the headteacher. I also have years of experience as a child care provider, so am able to adapt my tutoring strategies to the individual, based upon age and needs. I've worked with IEPs as well as children in need of specific educational support, such as those with ADHD and autism.
I am currently a professional in the Criminal Justice system and a tutor. I have my master's degree in Criminology which was research-intensive. I graduated with honors and a GPA of 3.9. I am a strong writer and researcher as well as have real-life experience in the field. I enjoy the opportunity to help others in my professional position as well as in my position as a tutor.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I begin by talking with the student, ensuring they feel comfortable. I then assess where they are currently having a difficult time or need support. After identifying where their need is, I gather the appropriate resources to use, such as practice problems and asssignments to work through together, also incorporating projects or homework the student may already have.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I was a childcare provider in a daycare and a professional nanny throughout college. I have my master's degree, graduating with honors and a GPA of 3.9. After the completion of my bachelor's degree I worked as a substitute teacher then was promoted to the head teacher of a juvenile delinquency classroom. In this position I followed IEPs, created accomadations for students who needed additional support, and created then taught all subjects to my students.
How did you get started teaching?
I started as a substitute teacher then was promoted to the headteacher for trouble youth.
What types of students have you worked with?
I've worked with students from preschool age to seniors in hiogh school. I also tutored adult student preparing for their GED. I also have worked with students in need of additional support such as those with ADHD and autism.
