About
Hello! I'm a current college student in Worcester, MA, looking to help middle school and high school students with English homework while they learn from home for the next couple of months. I adore creative writing, have tutored ESL students and am an education minor. Often, I believe writing feels boring when students are not excited or passionate about their work. Apart from aiding in grammatical and structural basics, I also hope to guide students towards finding topics that excite them, thus allowing them to put their best work forward. Email me, and let's chat about how I might be able to help you!

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Generally, I like to speak on the phone with a student and/or their parent about their needs, goals and schedule. I think it's important to ensure that I am able to provide you with the resources you need before agreeing to work together. After getting to know one another, we can discuss scheduling, pricing, etc. I am also happy to provide examples of my personal writing skills and elaborate on past tutoring/teaching jobs.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
As an education minor, I've worked and volunteered in numerous elementary and middle schools as a teachers aid, as well as been a peer mentor for high school students. While in Spain recently, I tutored elementary-aged girls in English by playing games with them, teaching them songs, and reading books together. My personal writing skills combined with my background in teaching have made me a confident and creative writing assistant.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Depending on the length and subject of the paper, I charge $10-$30 to edit, comment and improve a students work. If a student's needs seem to be better met by videochatting for a timed duration, I am happy to negotation that cost. I accept Venmo.
What types of students have you worked with?
Anywhere from preschool-aged to college-aged.
