ELA With Miss K

Hello; I'm Alexa! I'm a recent graduate of the Boston College Lynch School of Education. I recently completed my final year of student teaching at a private high school in Boston. I've been a private tutor for the past three years, for subjects ranging from the SAT/ACT, to coursework in AP English, Trigonometry, and European History. I'm passionate about helping students to reach their full reading and writing potential. On top of my varied content experience, I have also worked with students with learning disabilities. As a student who benefited from the one on one support of tutoring through my high school years, I find tutoring to be most effective from young educators - those willing to adapt to each individual student's learning styles. Personally, I find myself to be a visual learner; I like to draw images and charts to help convey my ideas in a more concrete way.
