Tutoring by Mary provides individual and small group instruction in reading, writing and Elementary math’ I am a retired elementary special education teacher who is trained in using multi-sensory approaches with learning.

I am an elementary educator with 26 years of teaching experience, primarily in grades K–2. I specialize in tutoring reading, writing, phonics, and math, and I have extensive experience supporting young learners with a wide range of academic needs, learning styles, and abilities. Throughout my career, I have worked closely with struggling readers, students receiving special education services, and multilingual learners. I understand that every child learns differently, and I believe in meeting students where they are while providing the individualized support, encouragement, and strategies they need to grow. I'm a very easy going person, I will explain things at the pace they want it to be explained at. I will do an excellent job because I'm really good at helping people and adapting to their learning styles. I'm currently a college student majoring in philosophy.

I am a Master's student, but on hiatus as I finish my capstone, and part of my love for social work and children is working with them, watching them grow, and helping them learn. Excited to hear from you!
