I recently graduated from Rhode Island College with a degree in Education, concentration in Mathematics. I am certified to teach all subjects, but focus more on mathematic skills. I have 5 years of experience working with students and helping with math skills. I am confidently able to tutor 6th-12th grade students, with focuses on pre-algebra, algebra, geometry, trigonometry, pre-calculus, calculus, and more! When it comes to working with students, I am understanding and patient when it comes to helping students. I prefer a “lead by example” approach, where I break down the problems by explaining the background of certain theories, equations, etc. I then use this background information to demonstrate how to use it to solve problems. Then, I allow students to try to solve the problems on their own, giving a helping hand where needed!
