About

My service stands out because I am a current student, so I am still in touch with the subjects that I am teaching, as well as the difficulties of being a student. As I am studying neuroscience, I bring a unique understanding of the learning process which aids me to better myself as a teacher. In addition, I have been teaching my whole life, so I have developed an arsenal of tools and imaginative ways to explain ideas. Teaching is a passion of mine and I love bringing understanding and success to my students!

I love connecting with my students and sharing my love of a subject with them! Through my work, I've found that it is always possible to make a student understand if you explain in a way that speaks to them, and I love finding the specific methods for each student.

Frequently asked questions

Depending on the student's age, level in the subject, and goals, I generally develop a plan and a pace at which I would work with the student and/or the parent. For the first session I would generally have a student show me what they would usually do on their own and show them some strategies to better their work. I am extremely flexible so it is mostly about finding what works for the student and helping them get better at a certain subject by engaging their interests into it.

I have been teaching in a daycare for the past three years, which pushed me to become extremely creative at explaining concepts. I also babysit and provide homework help on a regular basis. In addition, over the summer I work as a counselor at a math camp in New Hampshire and Israel where I tutor kids in English and math. Currently, I attend Boston University, where I enjoy helping my friends through the challenging pre-medical curriculum.

I am flexible with pricing and the price would depend on the subject, difficulty level, and distance travelled.

I was born into a teaching family with my aunt owning a huge daycare! While I am not in school for teaching, I love to tutor on the side:)

I have worked with many different types of students, ranging from very little kids in the daycare system to my own peers while helping them prep for exams.

I would advise the student to find a teacher that makes the subject come alive for them! In addition, it is important that the student has a goal in mind for the teacher to help them reach, as most teachers have a vast expanse of knowledge on the subject and it will be much easier to find a working routine if there is a clear basis to go off of.
