Linden Tutoring
About
I specialize in mathematics tutoring of 10th grade and below. This includes pre-algebra, algebra and geometry.
I also teach critical thinking to grades 4-12.
I have a passion for math and am certified to teach grades 5-9. I have taught math and science in a middle school environment for 13 years.
The best part of one-on-one tutoring is the ability to grasp if the student is understanding new concepts or attempt to explain the information in a different way. This is a challenge I relish.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I evaluate his understanding and abilities by speaking to parents and the student. I determine from there what the child's immediate needs are and what I may remediate over time.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Masters of Arts in Teaching and have spent 13 years in the classroom, as well as tutoring periodically back to 1970.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
My price is twenty dollars per hour.
How did you get started teaching?
After a career at the telephone company I decided to investigate the possibility of returning to school so that I might teach. While attending NKU, I was able to find a job at St. Catherine of Siena school.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Don't hesitate to ask questions of your teacher. Your education is up to you.
