Hi! I’m Sarah, an experienced private math tutor with an academic background in mathematics and economics. I’ve spent many years helping students build confidence in math and develop a stronger understanding of the material—not just memorize formulas or follow a set of steps.

My specialty is AP Calculus and Calculus I, and I particularly enjoy helping students who feel like calculus just isn’t “clicking.” Often, the challenge isn’t calculus itself, but gaps in the math foundations students were expected to bring with them from previous courses. I help identify those gaps and build those skills back up, while connecting them to the calculus concepts students are learning now. I break down difficult ideas in different ways until we find an approach that makes sense to you, with the goal of helping you become confident enough to tackle problems independently.

I also tutor a broad range of high school and college-level math, including algebra, geometry, trigonometry, precalculus, statistics, and other courses through calculus. Whether you’re working to strengthen your fundamentals, keep up with a challenging class, prepare for an exam, or simply feel more confident in math, I tailor each session to your individual needs and learning style.

I offer online tutoring, which many of my students love for its flexibility and convenience. Online sessions make it easy to fit tutoring into a busy schedule without worrying about travel, while allowing us to work together from wherever you’re most comfortable. I use screen-sharing and digital tools to keep sessions interactive and provide clear, organized explanations throughout each lesson.
