I'm passionate about helping kids become successful readers!
I utilize a wide variety of fun, age appropriate activities -- games, puzzles, phonics, sight word memorization, worksheets, songs, videos -- to help your child become a successful reader.
In person tutoring is available in the greater Indianapolis, IN area for children ages 4-12.
Virtual tutoring is available for students ages 6-12. I do offer virtual "tutoring" sessions for the parents of children under 6. In these sessions I'll provide you (the parent) with materials, activity ideas, book suggestions, etc. and I'll walk you through incorporating those activities with your child in the home.
Additionally, I offer homeschool brainstorming sessions. These sessions are for parents looking to begin homeschooling or change up what they are currently using in their homes. These sessions are also available in person in the greater Indianapolis, IN area or virtually.
About me: I have a bachelor's degree is English, and have spent the last 14 years homeschooling our 3 children, volunteering as a 4H leader, and teaching and serving on the board of two different homeschool cooperatives (once as the co-president & once as the secretary). Through my years of publishing a homeschooling newsletter & admining a homeschool Facebook group I had the opportunity to mentor dozens of families starting out homeschooling.
I'm excited to work with families giving kids the resources they need so they can thrive as learner's in any environment -- public, private, or home!
