I love teaching students, and I have a passion for math. I am a student at USI with a minor in Middle and Elementary Mathematics.
I love figuring out how you learn. I want to bring as many ways to understand problems as I can. I love bringing rescources and getting excited about math!

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I begin by doing homework problems with them and using different methods to try to get the student to understand the one problem. I use the we do then you do model. I also may use virtual manipulatives if that helps.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am in my final year of the teaching program at USI. I have passed my exams to get my license. I just have to finish my student teaching to get my license.
How did you get started teaching?
I got started teaching by volunteering at the Dream Center in high school. It helped me develop a love for uncovering how students learn like a puzzle.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with students from kindergarten through eighth grade.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Look for someone who is passionate and patient. Make sure that they fit your personality and can motivate you.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
What part am I not understanding? Is there a part in a specific type of problem that I keep messing up? Do I just not understand what am I doing?
