I am an Elementary teacher. I graduated from USI. I majored in Elementary Education and minored in Elementary Mathematics. I am currently a 5th grade teacher but I am able to tutor students that are in middle school. I absolutely LOVE math!

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Before tutoring begins, I would need to know what grade level they are at currently. This helps me with planning out our tutoring session by looking at the Curricular Maps for EVSC. I also like to know where the student struggles when it comes to Math.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am currently a 5th grade teacher with EVSC. When I was a student teacher, I had 5th-8th grade. I also taught 1 year in 3rd grade.

How did you get started teaching?
I use to be a nanny before going to college. I've always wanted to work with children. I also babysit every weekend as well.
This will be my 5th year as a teacher with EVSC.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with all types of students. I have even tutored future teachers before they had to take the Licensure Assessment.
