About
Hello! As a formaer teacher, I know the importance of one-on-one teaching in a student's success. I have a proven record of helping students grow and excel in both math and reading.
My favorite part of private teaching is watching my students grow into brainiacs. The students that I currently work with have made multiple years' growth in the time I've been working with them. It's amazing to see and makes me so proud of their hard work and dedication to their learning.

I have known Jen Weinstein for close to 10 years. Over the years, she has spanned the educational spectrum from excelling as a classroom instructor, to meeting the rigorous challenges of textbook writing. Through it all, she has always maintained her enthusiasm for young people’s education and her own learning.
Lucky for us, Jen is also a great one on one math tutor. So, when my son started having difficulties in Math in 4th grade, she was our first go-to. Since then, I have contracted her to provide additional Math support as needed. This year, my son, now in 10th grade, started out making Ds in Algebra. His self-confidence fell along with every low grade. We contacted Jen, and re-started tutoring sessions. 2 months later, his grades have improved to Bs, and his last exam score was 92%. His self esteem and confidence are soaring, as well. We owe Jen a huge debt of gratitude for all she is able to provide. To date, She is the single best weapon in our Math theory and practice arsenal. She is a truly stellar educator. I recommend her without reservation as a tutor for elementary, middle and early high school age kids in need of math support.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I will begin by assessing the student's needs either through discussion with parents/teachers or through a more formal assessment. Once I know what the student needs, I will work with him or her to master the needed skills.
