Make Math Make Sense
About
Math makes sense. There are many ways to solve one problem. If taking an approach to solve a math problem doesn't make sense, you can always take a different angle!
I have loved math since I can remember. Since I was in high school, I have been a math tutor. I have tutored for students in the AVID program at Waukegan High School, while in college, and during the summer.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I like to know a bit about the students strengths and weakness when it comes to learning something new or being in classroom. Do they learn better by taking notes? Doin extra excersice problems or by just following examples? I like to learn what subjects/areas the student struggles with the most and why is that they struggle with it-what part doesn't make sense?
I then like to give them reassurance that we will work out through the subject problems and I encourage them to stop me for any small question they may have. I periodically ask the student if they are still following.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I majored in Chemistry in college, however I always loved math so I took a few courses in college. I took AP Calculus B/C in highschool and continued taking math courses in college. I tutored students in the AVID program at the Waukegan high school. I also started a math club in high school to help students with their math homework. In college, I continue to tutor high students from the local high school.
