Deep Tutoring

I proactively engage with creativity and compassion when I tutor because it's important to validate students while giving them creative freedom to learn on their own terms.

During tutoring sessions, I assess the student's needs, their learning environment, and subject matter relevant to their coursework. I also involve parents/family members for a holistic understanding of the learning process because individual student success requires a family approach where there is a team oriented culture on making sure the student succeeds.

This allows them to not only succeed academically but genuinely connect with education on a deeper level for the long term.

I am where I am today because of teachers, tutors, and mentors that invested their time in me. I wish to simply give back in that same tradition and help out students realize their own potential and encourage a positive and resilient view on learning. To be life long learners, we need to connect with education; hence, tutoring allows me the opportunity to connect positive learning styles with student needs in a way that allows for an internal dialogue to emerge within the student on their own assessment of the learning process. I love seeing students succeed, but even more so, I love see them become resilient and passionate about things that had originally caused them stress: it's not just a sign of maturity and growth, but of continued passion that will affect different folk that the student engages later in life.
