Rose Crnkovich English Tutoring
About
I am an experienced high school English teacher who has taught a wide variety of areas in the field: literary analysis, writing, research, grammar and vocabulary, film analysis and appreciation, public speaking, and reading comprehension. I bring my enthusiasm for written and oral expression and love to ignite students' interest in these areas as well as witness their progress as communicators. Since communication is the key to successful relationships and careers, I feel privileged to work with students in developing this skill which I have enjoyed from a young age. I currently teach advanced senior English in an all-girls high school, have served as English Department Chair, and moderate our school yearbook. I have also worked part-time as a freelance writer and editor of literature and grammar textbooks. I hold a B.A. in Secondary Education/English from Northeastern Illinois University and an M.A. in English Language and Literature from the University of Chicago. I also serve as the IB (International Baccalaureate) Coordinator at our school.
