Pachelbell Tutoring
About
I'm excited to connect with my students and get to know them, help them set goals, recommend books (both academic and for leisure) and help them succeed in their next academic endeavor.
Seeing my students succeed and be excited about what they're currently learning about. Education can be presented in a dull and boring way, but I'm straying away from the mundane.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I like to speak with them first to understand their needs and then ask them about any resources they might have for their assignments, be open to questions and be open to their own conclusions after the lesson is over. My approach is to be very open minded and make sure my students feel comfortable to use me as a resource.

How did you get started teaching?
I volunteered to tutor two students from the second grade and fell in love with putting together lesson plans and being able to transfer a piece of information/academic material to the student for them to understand better. I reallly love to see how excited they are when they finally understand a concept that they have been struggling with for a while.
What types of students have you worked with?
Students of all walks of life; different cultures, grade levels, academic levels, age levels.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Make sure that you speak with the tutor first to see if they are a fit for your learning style.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Be open and transparent about what you need. Do not worry about asking questions because a curious, hungry mind will always be inquisitive. If a teacher or tutor is not receptive to what you have to say, feel free to look for someone you know you truly click with.
