What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Typically, I begin by asking a student what he/she is working on and allowing the student the time to explain the nature of an assignment or a specific project as a way to foster engagement and demonstrate to the student that he/she may well udnerstand the topic more than he/she had been aware.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a graduate degree in literature from The University of Chicago.
