What is your typical process for working with a new student?
My typical process when working with a new student is to give them some sort of diagnostic assignment or look at recent work that would fill that purpose and to get to know them and ask about their prior experiences in the subject area(s) that we are going to be working on so I know where to start and can begin forming strategies to engage them if it is not already something they are interested in.

What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with students in both suburban and urban environments of a variety of cultural, racial, and religious backgrounds and socio-economic statuses.
I have extensive experience with special education students and students with individualized needs.
