I am a certified English Language Arts teacher. I received a Bachelor of Arts from University of Illinois-Urbana, Honors Program, and a Masters degree in Teaching from National Louis, with high honors.
I do charge $100 an hour because I pack a lot of valuable information and assistance into each session.
I have been a private tutor for many years helping students excel in all aspects of English Language Arts. I assist with all types of writing, including academic papers, thematic literature papers, college entrance esaays, and creative writing. am passionate about helping students achieve their highest potential.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I will usually work them via web cam, online, or by phone. I can also meet in person, but this is limited to sessions that are a minimum of 2 hours. Finally, ongoing students can contact me for short answers to questions or homework help at no charge.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I was an honors English student at the U of Illinois, have my JD from Loyola Law and my teaching certification and Masters in English Language Arts from National Louis. I was a private tutor for years helping students with many writing related lessons. I habe recently finished my first fiction novel.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Phone and online lessons- $50 an hour
Face to face lessons -$200 for minimum 2 hr lesson and $85 for each additional hour.
My lessons include take home writing samples and lesson outlines, and I send feedback hone with each lesson.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with all students from all backgrounds from gifted to special needs.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Make sure that it is a good fit. Communication is crucial.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
They should think about their goals and what they want to accomplish with the tutor.
