Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I learn about what their school curriculum is like and what their needs are, and then I try to assess their own performance. I believe that education is more than just spitting out some facts; I try to show my students new possibilities and enrich their lives.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I tutored during high school and currently volunteer as a tutor for Tutoring Chicago, which also trained me as a tutor.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
$25/hr
How did you get started teaching?
I've had a passion for teaching for as long as I can remember. I founded a club for computer science learning at my high school, where I lectured on computer science basics. I also began lecturing on film history, which I continued into college. My lectures include presentations at three collegiate symposia.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with a diverse group of students, mainly middle and high school.
