I am a certified Special Education teacher with well over 15 years of experience with a Masters degree in Reading and an endorsement to teach ESL students. I work to enhance my students' strenghths while also help them to develop their areas of weakness. I start at each childs' level so that I can set them up for success. I also have over 15 years working as a Vision Therapist to add to my skills. I am a passionate teacher who enjoys watching students develop confidence and grow academically.

I am a college student, and I currently help classmates with understanding concepts that we are learning in class. I have an excellent grasp of basic math and will make sure that the student understands the concepts thoroughly. I also am able to assist with reading and writing skills. I have been in a position where I did not understand concepts - mostly in history-related classes - and I remember how difficult it was and how frustrated I became. I am a Special Education teacher with over 8years of experience teaching reading, math and writing. Most of the students I teach are considered to have a specific learning disability in either reading, math or writing. With a structured and systematic research- based curriculum, students on my caseload make at least 2 grade levels of reading within a year. I also work on executive functioning and behavior management.
