Online Tutoring For Students With Dyslexia & Reading Difficulties

Many students struggle with reading because they’ve never received explicit, systematic instruction aligned with the Science of Reading. When foundational skills are weak, children lose confidence, fall behind, and often begin to believe they “just aren’t good at reading.” I specialize in helping struggling readers—including students with dyslexia—build the phonemic awareness, decoding, fluency, and comprehension skills they need to thrive.

I hold a Ph.D. in Students with Exceptionalities and currently serve as an MTSS/RTI Chair, reading specialist, and certified Dyslexia Interventionist (endorsement pending). With over 17 years of experience supporting diverse learners, including multilingual students and students with disabilities, I use structured literacy, diagnostic tools, and data-driven intervention to create sessions that are warm, engaging, and highly effective. Every lesson is grounded in evidence-based routines aligned with the Science of Reading.

Before beginning instruction, I administer a comprehensive literacy assessment ($200) that evaluates phonological awareness, decoding/encoding, fluency, vocabulary, and reading comprehension. This assessment allows me to pinpoint precise skill gaps, develop a personalized intervention plan, and set a progress-monitoring schedule. I do not begin tutoring without this complete diagnostic evaluation, as it ensures targeted, meaningful, and measurable growth.

I offer virtual 1:1 or small-group sessions for $65–$95 per 30 minute to hour. My goal is to rebuild confidence, strengthen foundational skills, and help every learner become a successful, independent reader.
