About this tutor

We are one of 750 Mathnasium franches around the country. Our plan is custom for each student based on an in depth assessment.  We have a flexible drop in schedule where students attend 2-3 times a week.  We work on filling the gaps and creating confidence in math.

Kids don't hate math, they hate being confused and intimidated by math.

With understanding comes passion.  With passion comes growth - a treasure is unlocked.

I love that we get to build confidence in students and see them grow more confident in their own ability.

FAQs

What is your typical process for working with a new student?

First we do an assessment to identify the gaps, then design a learning plan unique to each child. We work to fill the gaps and create a strong foundation in math.  We also allow time during the session for them to get help with homework.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

My instructors range from High school (pre-calc or higher) to college students.  They have to pass a very rigorous assessment to be able to work at Mathnasium and display great teaching skills.

Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.

We have various different programs and pricing.

What types of students have you worked with?

We work with 2nd - 12th Grade.

Describe a recent event you are fond of.

We are excited to be Partners in Education with several schools in our area.  I am most proud when teachers refer their students to us based on what he have done with other students of theirs.

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a tutor in your area of expertise?

I would encourage them to get an in depth assessment so that they can identify why they are having trouble in math.  It is often not what they are currently working on, but pre-requisite skills that they are missing.  It is better to work on missing foundational skills for long term success.
