About
I believe that the formative years of a child's life are paramount. I look back on my childhood and I remember my mother always incorporating learning with fun. This has since then been my approach to both tutoring and childcare. The effectiveness of this approach can be seen in my over 10 years of tutoring both peers and children. During the time with my clients their grades improved and or they got accepted into an honors program. I love working with children and watching their mind grow and expand tremendously.
I have 13 years of experience as a tutor and love helping people reach their goals. I welcome the opportunity to speak with you regarding this position.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Often times students come to me feeling like they are not smart because they are not doing well in a particular subject and need a tutor. I have made it my personal charge to not only be a tutor for these students but also help them see themselves in a more positive way. One of my first students felt this way. Over one summer of being tutored, he was more confident in Math and believed in himself and his abilities to learn. This confidence also shaped his school year. His grades improved dramatically and within two semesters he was accepted into the Talented and Gifted program.
