Todd's Teaching
About
I am a graduate of the University of Georgia, School of Biological Sciences, pre-med program with a double major in Microbiology and Cellular Biology. Since graduate school, I have 20+ years of tutoring experience, all K-12 material is still quite relevant and fresh in my mind. But math (Algebra to Pre-Calculus) and science (Biology, Chemistry, and Physics) are the subjects I love teaching and learning for myself. I have had my own teaching, tutoring, and coaching business since 2010. I have worked with a variety of ages, from kindergarten to seniors in high school. As the parent of a 6 year old, I am always learning how to communicate math and science concepts in ways for my son to gain easier understanding. I get to know each student individually as well as get to know their personal goals. I will provide quick, concise responses for those in a hurry, and slow, methodic teaching for those looking to understand the material on a deeper and level. I welcome parent feedback and will alter my methods based on parental goals as well. My overarching goal is to help each student gain confidence in a given subject so that they will be enthusiastic life-long learners.
