Mia's Tutoring

Hello! My name is Mia Douglas, and I am a Senior Computer Science major at Spelman College. I specialize in tutoring 4th and 5th grade mathematics, including fractions, decimals, geometry, word problems, and introductory algebra.

My goal is to make math feel simple and approachable by breaking problems down step by step and helping students build real confidence. I focus on patience and clarity, making sure each student fully understands a concept before moving on.

As a Computer Science major , I use strong problem-solving and logical thinking skills every day, and I bring those same skills into my tutoring sessions. I understand that every student learns differently, and I adjust my teaching style to support their needs.

I am also open to tutoring other math levels as needed, with advance notice since my primary focus is 4th and 5th grade mathematics.
