I have taught math for 22 years as either a high school math teacher or a part-time college math instructor. I have a bachelor's degree in mathematics from Albany State University, a master's degree in mathematics education from the University of Georgia, and a Ph.D. in educational leadership and supervision from The University of Southern Mississippi.
I love teaching math. It is my passion. I love when a student finally understands a concept because of the way that I was able to break it down. I get a great sense of accomplishment and fulfillment from that.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I like to have a discussion with the student (and parents if needed) to assess his/her learning style and what areas of strengths and weaknesses the student possesses. Once I start working with a student and gain a sense of his/her abilities and understanding, I am able to adjust my level of support to accommodate his/her need.
