I have been tutoring kids in really any subject, but mainly math, since I was in junior high school. I worked at Kumon and tutored in my school for various Honor Societies!!!! My passion when it comes to subjects is math and I hope to become a successful engineer one day after college and grad school!! I have only one love in my life and that is dance!!! I love to dance, sing, act, etc....and if I wasn't going to become an engineer you'd probably find me in Hollywood livin' the dream!!! I have won many leadership and service awards, I am part of Phi Theta Kappa which is the world's largest and most prestigious honor society for two-year college students, and I am and have been in the Honors college in both universities I have attended up to date. I can go on and on about me but that's not why we are here!! If you want a fun and enjoyable learning experience, feel free to ask me anything you want and I will try my level best to answer your questions for you!!! Thank You!!!!

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Usually I like to know where the student stands in his/her subject and find out what and where specifically he/she is struggling. Then I will be able to explain step by step how to solve the problem from the beginning. I also like being interactive, in other words, drawing pictures, diagrams, etc. because it allows the student to get a visual of what they are working with rather than a boring old explanation.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have successfully completed my high school and am a sophomore at Georgia State University, transferring to Georgia Institute of Technology this coming fall. I have received training in all maths, up to Calculus 3, which I am currently taking right now, and I have received all above average grades in these classes. I am all A student, have a 4.0 GPA and love working with kids. I have tutored before with my Honors Societies at school and with Kumon.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I don't have a standard pricing system. My only goal is to help the student I am teaching and hope that he/she succeeds in whatever it is they are doing.
How did you get started teaching?
I have always had a love for teaching, whether it be school, dance, singing, piano, etc. I love helping people in any way I can and since I started tutoring kids, it has given me a sense of joy and happiness that I am able to make another kid happy by giving them assistance in their life.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with students ranging from first grade to college juniors!
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a tutor in your area of expertise?
I suggest you find someone willing to put in the time and effort to really help you and not just answer super fast with no interest whatsoever. The best way to learn in my opinion is by making learning fun and interactive. It helps the brain stay moving while you remain focused. Pick ME!!!!
What questions should students think through before talking to tutors about their needs?
Think about what you really need help with and specify where the problem is occuring. For example, don't give a tutor a problem and the proceed to say "I don't get it." That does not give us tutors any idea of what you don't get. Please specify which parts you do not understand and where you got stuck and why. It helps us understand better and allows us to explain better in such a way that you will be able to find your errors and correct them yourself in the future.
