About
Mathematics is a language, and my goal is to make sure that each of my students speak the language well.
My background in Chemical Engineering organically transitioned into teaching many years ago. After a very short period of time, it was quite clear that I had an exceptional ability to uncover and correct mathematical errors. From Pre-algebra to Calculus, and SAT/ACT prep, my approach is always the same, to teach in a way that recognizes the individuality of my student. I am patient, methodical, and relentless in the pursuit of building a comprehensive skill-set.
I pride myself on being an educational partner. I believe that every student should have a space that is safe from judgment, while being encouraged to master mathematical concepts.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I provide a one-on-one online math tutoring service. Each student receives a personal whiteboard which is accessible to them 24 hours a day. The digital whiteboard allows my students to follow every step of the mathematical process in real time.
When a new student comes onto my schedule, this is the time to listen. The first session is paramount in determining the needs of a student. It is then time to methodically plot a detailed plan of action.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
My background in Chemical Engineering organically transitioned into teaching over 15 years ago. I realized very early in my career that I had an exceptional ability to uncover and correct mathematical errors. Eliminating these errors and misunderstandings sets the stage for real progress to be made.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Pricing is structured to accommodate a range of individual budgets and academic needs. My mission is to provide access to an exceptional education at an affordable rate. This fee includes all offline preparation and post diagnostics.
What types of students have you worked with?
The majority of my students have been enrolled in advanced, honors, IB, MSE, and college/university programs. These programs include a rigorous course load including Pre-algebra, Algebra 1, Algebra 2, College Algebra, Geometry, Precalculus, Trigonometry, and Calculus. My focus is to be an active partner in my students' education. Once on my schedule, they realize quite quickly that I am invested in their success and will remain a resource for the entirety of their math needs from middle-school through college, including SAT/ACT Math and GMAT/GRE Quantitative Reasoning Prep.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Look for a teacher who realizes that until a student understands, the concept has yet to be taught!
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Be careful about only focusing on your immediate needs. When choosing a teacher, a student should not only consider the course in which they are currently enrolled, but also the courses that may follow. And take your time in this decision. The teacher you choose will be impactful.
