How did you get started teaching?
All of my life I have loved to teach! As I grew older, the passion for leaving no child behind grew stronger. Teaching a classroom full of students was exhilarating, however, the deadline and pressure of the teacher to carry on without all students' understanding, really discouraged me from continuing in the classroom. It was then that I decided that really focusing on private lessons would be the best path for the next chapter in my life. Since then, I have dedicated many hours to ensure that ALL of the students I work with are motivated to grow and excited to learn.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with many diverse students! Some are, but not limited to...
Students with disbalities (Autism, Aspergers Sydrome, Short-term memory loss, Struggles with Speech, etc.)
Students from different cultural back grounds/ countries
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
I would tell students think about how they learn the best and what tools they think they would need to really reach their full potential.
