Hi, my name is Solomon! I'm a full-time math tutor, and I take difficult math concepts and terminology and explain them in ways that are easier to understand. I use a lot of visuals and mnemonics to make the math more relatable. I am a very patient teacher. I encourage asking questions, and I provide feedback as often as I can to make sure you're on the right track. Having individualized support that is adapted to your needs can take a confusing and stressful topic and make it not only manageable, but interesting. I want to help you build the necessary skills to approach math confidently.

I am a primarily online math and test prep tutor with 7+ years of experience. I worked at a local tutoring center for several years and I now tutor independently online. I have a bachelors in mathematics education from the University of South Florida. I've volunteered and worked with students from elementary to college ages.

I tutor for the following subjects:

Middle school math, Pre-algebra, Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra 2, Pre-calculus

SAT, ACT, HSPT (all subjects)

I tutor online one-on-one through Zoom.

A large part of my motivation in tutoring math is seeing students grow their confidence in approaching math and opening up new opportunities for themselves. Every student has a different level of math expertise, different testing experiences, different schedules, and different levels of study skills. During tutoring sessions I help you fill gaps in key math foundations, review current concepts, give you test-taking strategies, and help you build good study habits.
