Private Tutor

Let me tell you a little bit about myself and why I feel that I would make an excellent addition to the Tutor.com family. My name is Maria, and I am a graduate of the University of South Florida with a Master’s degree in Varying Exceptionalities . I spent 22 years as an Elementary classroom teacher and in my role, I helped students develop their academic skills. Addionally. I helped them prepare for the state assessment in grades three for reading and grade 5 in math. It was a wonderful career. I found myself though, ready to move forward and seek challenges outside of the traditional classroom. As such, I have now decided to become a private tutor, and I am really enjoying this experience. I feel as if my skills and talents, and my education are being used more to benefit individual students who struggle and need a little extra help. That’s where I come in. I sit with students in a setting, that is comfortable, quiet and focused. We work together on areas that are designated as areas of need and we spend time really focusing attention to specific details, structure, and process so that they get the most from the time that they spend with me.
