Hello, I have been an educator for 10 years and I am currently a second grade teacher. I have taught all elementary grade levels and all subjects. I know and am experienced in teaching to the Florida State standards. I am passionate about helping students build their foundational skills in order to become successful readers and mathematicians and extend and challenge them to help them reach the demanding academic expectations at their schools.
I received my Bachelors degree in Elementary Education with endorsements in Language Arts, Reading, and Music from the University of Iowa in 2008.
I held an Iowa Teaching License for Elementary K-6 and Language Arts, Reading, and Music K-8, until I moved to Florida in 2010.
I've been licensed in Florida since 2010.
I instill in my students a growth mindset: if you're not being challeneged you're not learning and mistakes grow your brain.
The best part of teaching is watching students when they experience success and the pure joy and pride they have when they overcome a challenge.
