About
Hello!
I'm Julia, and I am currently a junior at Florida State University majoring in Elementary Education. I just graduated from Tallahassee Community College with an Associate in Arts (AA) degree and a 4.0 GPA.
I have tutored students in preparation for exams (like the Algebra 1 EOC) and I have also provided regular assistance with homework and assignments. My specialty is Algebra: Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Pre-Algebra and College Algebra.
I prefer meeting with students in a public setting, but accomodations could be made depending on circumstance.
I would love to work with you!
I have a passion for people, especially youth, and I love encouraging them in their abilities. I am patient and supportive!

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
First, I discover what their needs are. Students could need homework and/or assignment help regularly or just one-time. Or they may need test preparation for unit exams or end of course exams or finals. They could also want supplemental learning over the summer to build a better foundation for next year's class. Or, a student may need to be taught a whole concept or section that they missed or had difficulty understanding.
Next we work out a schedule and convenient meeting location. We decide if our time together will be for just one day, a few weeks, a few months or year long.
Then we begin!
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with middle and high school students.
