Amy Brill

For over 30 years, I have immersed myself in learning, loving, and teaching the English language to elementary and middle school students. As a former journalist and copy editor, I am an expert grammarian, writer, and editor. I love to help my students and clients build confidence in their writing abilities and believe anyone can write. I am extremely helpful with any type of writing required. I am currently helping students and clients write and edit in courses ranging from third grade all the way through graduate school. For almost 20 years, I have been working at a prestigious private school as a middle school English teacher. I share my love of the craft, especially grammar and writing, through fun presentations, follow up materials that I created myself, and online resources that put students in control of their learning. I help students become confident in their abilities to not only learn grammar but to also apply this knowledge to any type of writing that is required of them. I earned my master's degree in English Education while teaching full time because I wanted to become better at my craft and to specialize in writing and reading instruction. I would now like to expand my reach to other students who are looking for the right kind of tutor who can help them to realize that even if they've always struggled, they can learn and will actually feel proud and so much more knowledgeable. I am excited to expand my horizons and help more students reach their potential!
