Hi! I'm Christy and I have been teaching in some way, shape, or form for the past 23+ years! I have taught everything from preschool art (so fun!) to high school philosophy (also fun). I love every aspect of teaching and helping a student achieve their goals and experience success. I have been a public school 2nd grade teacher, private tutor, preschool teacher, and high school director. But my favorite teaching role has been homeschooling my own two children for the past 13 years! I also have an M.Ed. in elementary education.

I’m passionate about helping students become stronger readers and writers. My goal is to make language arts less intimidating and help students feel confident expressing their ideas clearly.
