I have a Bachelors Degree in Secondary Education: Mathematics and a Computer Educator's License. I am certified to teach grades 5 - 12 grade mathematics. Most recently I have tutored students in the subjects of Pre-Calc, Algebra, and SAT Prep.
The thing I enjoy most about teaching and tutoring is being able to aid my students to reaching their best potential. Being able to connect and understand how my students process the information is a key component. Being apart of the learning process and knowing I am making a significant impact in their education is one of the main reasons I teach.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
When I meet with a new student, I like to look at their previous quizzes, exams, and other assignments. This gives me an idea of which concepts they understand and need further assistance. Then I have a conversation with them so they can tell me in their own words where they are struggling. Once we have had this converstaion, we will work on their current homework, prep for the next lesson, or work on review for an upcoming assessment.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a degree in Secondary Education: Mathematics and a Computer Educator's license. Currently, I tutor a couple of students in various math subjects and I coach Middle School Rowing.
