About
While I currently have no current teaching or tutoring experience, I understand from personal experience how vital it is for a student to not only have a grasp on what they're learning, but to also feel comfortable enough to ask for clarification when they're unsure, and to feel motivated to continue learning. I got my highschool GED about a year ago and have been out of proper schooling for a few years now, but I was in mostly advanced placement classes and am currently relearning a lot of what those classes involved to prepare myself for tutorting, as well as college. I understand that some students can be shown a topic once and understand it fully while it may take extra work for other to reach that same level of understanding, and I'm more than willing to take the extra time and do whatever I can to make sure specific needs are met.
I've been told I'm a very direct person when it comes to answering questions I'm familiar with, and I've taken several management-like roles in group activities to make schedules and generally help things go smoothly. I believe it's possible for me to use these past experiences as a baseline to help with tutoring while I get a grasp on the specifics.
I'm comfortable tutoring 1-on-1 or up to 3 people at a time.
