I am currently in school to become a teacher with the hopes of being a third grade math/science teacher. Currently I am working as a paraprofessional/ teachers aid in the public school VPK program for the last 2 years. I will be completing my early education certificate this coming semester and will be trying to get into my own VPK classroom. I do have a few more years of school left until I can move up to becoming the third grade teacher I want to be. I have always loved helping kids either figure things out on the own or give them the firm push in the right direction that they need to accomplish what I know that they can do.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I first try and get to know them (Like interests and dislikes) then try and gauge when they know already on the topic that we are working in.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Yes, I am currently going to school for early education then will be working on elementary education right after.
How did you get started teaching?
I am going to school right now to teach and started helping the other students in the classes I was in highschool all the time.
What types of students have you worked with?
I am looking forward to student VPK- 5th grade in any area that they may need.
