When it comes to high school students in test prep, whether it be AP or SAT, it is much better to have a tutor who has recently gone through it.
I just graduated High School as a Valedictorian with a 1540 SAT and passing 15 AP Exams. I understand what these tests and courses require. Many tutors may be great experts in their subject, but it is more important to have someone who understands the AP class or SAT test.
I was able to increase my SAT score from a 1380 to a 1540 in less than 5 months and mainly had to self study my AP exams because of many of my teachers would not finish the curriculum.

As a current university student, I understand how frustrating it can be to try your best in a subject and not have it click. I believe that any subject can be mastered when taught in a natural, intuitive way, and aim to work with students to discover their learning styles so we can make it click. I look forward to getting to know you or your child and helping you to develop personal study skills that will benefit you not only in your problem subject, but also throughout your academic future.

I have tutored mathematics since 2001 in Florida - firstr for, what was then, Seminole Community College, and is now Seminole State College, and then for Tutor.com for an eight year tenure, over which I was the only tutor in the company's history to be elecvted Tutor of the Month across the whole site in less than three years. I was one of two tutors in the entire time that the company at the time that I parted ways with tnem that was able to make it from Probationary Tutor to Tutor III in less than a year, and only about 2% of tens of thousands of tutors make it to Tutor III. This is the most senior non-management position, and requires a c
