Krystian's Tutoring
About
Since I was a young boy, I have always been a very curious child and loved reading all the science books in my school's library. Now that I am older, I have a fondness for math and physics which has now manifested into the pursuit of a master's degree, and later a Doctorate degree, in Astronomy & Astrophysics.
I am a third year Astronomy & Astrophysics major with a minor in Applied Mathematics because of this, I have taken courses in advanced calculus, physics, Technical Communications, and chemistry. Besides helping students with math and science, I can also help them write essays, research papers, and presentations.
What I want to accomplish, is to help any student, whether they be in middle school or high school, achieve the grades that they desire by helping them with what they need.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
With new students, I start off by getting to know them. I believe that I work better with students when I have an idea of what they want to pursue. After getting to know them, I ask them what they need help with, they can email me a syllabus, chapter of their book, or the outline for an assignment. From there, I will help them based on what they are stuck on, giving them hints, walking them step by step, making sure that they understand what needs to be done.
With their work, I will use the same approach with all the subjects, whether it be math, science, history, or English, to ensure that they understand, as it is the most important part in making sure they succeed.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I graduated highschool from Flagler Palm Coast High School by taking all honors classes and AP Chemistry. Currently, I am enrolled at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University to which I have taken advanced calculus, physics, technical communications, all of which I have earned a spot on the Honor Roll for my hard work.
On top of being on the Honor Roll, I also have a merit-based scholarship from my university that is covering roughly 50% of my tuition costs each semester.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I charge $25 an hour.
How did you get started teaching?
I have just started tutoring! Based on my knowledge of the various subjects that I have listed and the fact that I am in need of an income to help with college expenses, I have found something that I am passionate about and good at!
What types of students have you worked with?
I have not worked with any students, but I have tutored my brother in his science, math, and English class, which is what inspired me to start tutoring as a job!
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Getting accepted into Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. Even though I am already four semesters into my degree program, I remember it as if it were yesterday. I have never thought very highly of myself, when I applied at Embry-Riddle, I initially thought that it was not even worth it since I would not get accepted, but after reading the acceptance letter and the following letter that I had also gotten a scholarship, that made me see that I am very capable if I put my mind to it.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Make sure to ask yourself:
What do I need to solve this question?
From there, you separate the question (or topic) into components that will make you understand better. After finding what the question is asking for, ask yourself:
How can I get what I need to solve this question?
Now, you are aware of 1. What the question is asking for and 2. How you are going to get what you need to solve the problem. Then if you are stuck, look through all the resources that you have available to you (textbook, notes, Khan Academy, etc) and find examples, these will help you to piece things together to solve the problem.
After asking yourself these questions and looking through all of your resources, you can solve the problem. If you are still having trouble after doing these steps, then it is a good time to contact a teacher or a tutor.
