Emilina Schmidt
About
My name is Emilina and I am currently an undergraduate student at the University of Central Florida majoring in Chemistry and minoring in Biomedical Sciences. I have knowledge in all fields of general education ranging from English and History to STEM, however my strength is in STEM. From aiding younger students, much of K-12 content is still fresh in my mind and it further provides the necessary backbone for more difficult content. I scored within the 96th percentile for my SAT and ACT, as well as earning AP Scholar with distinction for my AP scores in AP Lit, AP Calc BC, AP Bio, AP US Government, APUSH, and AP Chem. I also have credit in General Psychology, General Chemistry, Physics 1, Philosophy, and Statistics and currently have a 4.0 GPA at my university. Grades can demonstrate that I know my content, however what is more important is how I will teach that content. I have years of experience in balancing sports, school, work, and social relationships which led to me developing efficient study habits which I will share. I also have assisted many students in my classes and taught them in ways which allowed them to further understand the content. I can teach in a way specific to you, as everyone learns differently! I also like to have a good time and have a love of learning, so I often turn my studying into a game. From my experience, associating something fun with what you’re learning is the best way to remember it! I will work my hardest for you to excel in any class you’re struggling in, and will strive to go above and beyond for your success.
