About this tutor

I can say I am one of those people, that absolutely loves math! I welcome the challenge to be able to teach with multiple methods and learn through each of my students the methods that work best for them!

I have been providing Academic and Private Tutoring support for a variety of subjects focusing predominantly on testing and Math, including: FCAT, GMAT, GED, SAT/ACT, TABE (Math Portions). I have also taught for Central Florida's ResCare Program for about 2 years and had great success with a good majority of my students whom were able to pass their TABE and other examinations and obtain their diplomas.

I am a Multi-Disciplinary Student, with a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration of Finance, Bachelor's Degree in Electrician Trade, an extensive background in CSS IT Break-Fix and Electronics and currently studying Computer Programing to continue furthering my career in a stable yet constantly chaning field of Technology and Programming.

In the mean time, It is an absolute passion for me to be able to teach and help other students achieve their dreams and goals, and helping them become the best part of themselves...culturing their talents and learning how they learn best! I look forward to helping you, or your child succeed!

FAQs

What is your typical process for working with a new student?

I like to take the first couple of sessions and see and analyze the student how he/she is, are they organized if not I take note, and will work on it slowly, are they a hands on or follow me type of learner and so forth. I do my very best to expose them to new learning styles while simultaneously learn and adapt to their own learning style.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I work with multiple large tutoring companies, and have tutored on my own as a Freelance tutor for over 7 years.  I absolutely love helping students reach and exceed their goals and regain their confidence in themselves.

Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.

Yes, Elementary students (Kinder-5th Grade) I charge a flat rate of $35.00/Hr.

Middle School & High School Subjects I charge a Flat fee of $40.00/Hr.

College Algebra and Other College Level math is a Flat $45.00/HR.

*Your payment through Venmo made 6 hour prior each session (preferrably day before) is your confirmation for the session. I will also send you a remeinder 2 hours prior each session of our session considering payment was made.

How did you get started teaching?

I started tutoring while working on my second Bachelor's Degree as a hobby and way to earn extra money. I absolutely fell in love with it when I noticed what an impact I was able to have on fellow student's confidence and success, and have never looked back.

What types of students have you worked with?

I have a wide range of experience, from 5th graders, middle school and most recently adults (helping them get their GED through the Central Florida's ResCare Program).

Describe a recent event you are fond of.

The Central Florida's ResCare Program, was one of my favorite, we had medium sized groups we worked with and provided mentorship and tutoring of basic reading comprehension, mathematics and computations, pre-algebra and TABE/GED examination preparation. It was great to be part of so many lives transforming, being able to recuperate their confidence and pass those exams allowing them to move on in their lives to better job/career opportunities instead of be stuck in a never-ending cycle of failure due to lack of confidence and basic skills.

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a tutor in your area of expertise?

As long as you are willing to work hard, I am here to help and guide you to become the absolute best version of yourself. We all have so many talents and capabilities that we bury within ourselves for one reason or another...I am here to help you see and acknowledge that!

What questions should students think through before talking to tutors about their needs?

1) What struggles have made you a better student?

2) Why do you Tutor?

3) How long have you tutored?
