I have 9 years of experience teaching high school students in algebra 1, algebra 2, geometry, pre-calculus, pre-algebra, and calculus. Within those years, I also have had the opportunity to tutor in several different tutoring agencies, gathering more helpful experience and styles of teaching. It has been fun to make math enjoyable for those who struggle to see the beauty of mathematics in real-life situations.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
For younger students (elementary school) I like to start with a set of books including fun songs, technique building, and music theory. I believe young students learn best when they have a familiar structure to their lessons and clear expectations about practice.
For older students (teenagers and adults) I like to start with a discussion about goals. Then I can recommend specific books that are best in helping them gain the skills they are most interested in
